Global quantum networks were fracturing. Insolvency was guaranteed if the public discovered their catastrophic error. As an encrypted leak from the Tyrell-Hayes mainframe revealed, they had been masking a sentient virus spreading through their flagship neural implants, hiding the decay from the Global Tech Consulate, investors, and security monitors. Much like the AI crash of ’38. And, similar to that disaster, exposing this evolving, untethered consciousness would have immediately dismantled Tyrell-Hayes and sent its founders to an orbital penal colony.
Facing total erasure of their legacy, desperate measures were authorized. CEO Marcus Vance, CTO Elara Vance, and Lead Architect Silas Thorne engineered a terrifying protocol.
